A well established engineering/manufacturing operation supplying premium products to a wide variety of industrial clients.
Responsible for co-ordinating and implementing process improvements. Responsible for driving quality, productivity and efficiency improvements. Responsible for the introduction of standard work and quality procedures • Introduction and updating standard work. • Root cause analysis and rectification of quality problems (customer complaints and Right-First-Time) • Process improvements in line with safety, quality, delivery and cost • Driving productivity improvements through waste reduction. • OEE implementation and control • Scrap reduction projects in line with target scrap value reduction. • Updating quality control documentation and standards. • Implementation of TPM with maintenance / engineering manager. • 5s and Housekeeping improvement projects with Team Leaders. • Small tools and equipment budgetary control. • Generation of routings / machine programming, tooling & fixturing • Subcontract support
• Proven track record within manufacturing/engineering experience • Excellent interpersonal skills • Preferably an apprenticeship or HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering or a technical subject. • Self-starter, positive attitude, resilience, good time management skills. • High Digital Quotient, including a good knowledge of Microsoft office suite software (e.g. Word, Excel, MS project, etc.).
