The role

Reporting to: Head of Retail & Targeted Channels

The purpose of the role is to Support the Head of Retail and Targeted Channels to initiate, develop and agree delivery of acquisition plan for credit cards against key volume, asset quality, budget, cost per card and P&L metrics across targeted direct channels.

Help develop and agree annual acquisition plan for targeted channels, including direct mail, telephony, door drops, inserts and DRTV for core brand.

Responsible for delivery of acquisition plan to meet hurdle rates on key metrics of CPC< NER, NPV and EMOB measures within marketing budget.

Manage processes for budgeting and forecasting targeted channels – ensuring activity is hitting plan.

Help maximise profitability and NPV’s of new account growth by product and channel through the creation and development of a test and learn environment.

Play a key role in building direct mail and telephony channel capability to improve recruitment of both new to franchise and credit card cross sales to existing customers.

Development of new distribution and sales channels e.g. door drops, inserts and DRTV.

Candidate requirements

Responsible for development of insights into performance of direct channels that can be utilised to drive testing and refinement of strategy.

Work with Analytics, Decision Science and External Parties to develop and drive targeting models to optimise marketing investment and profit for the business.

Develop a close relationship with Group Marketing to leverage the opportunities for Cards.

Manage and develop a team.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of the mechanics behind improving the profitability and growth of the credit card portfolio by analysing customer needs, competitors and market trends

Understanding of the relationships between customer needs, customer behaviours, acquisition performance and profit and loss impacts.

Experience:

Experience in consumer financial services marketing and knowledge of customer motivations and behaviours Experience of NPV/P&L modelling Experience of concept/proposition development process
