Substantial UK Business with a diverse portfolio of business interests across multiple sites. The site in Bridgend employs nearly 600 staff in a range of disciplines and is set to increase by 200 over the next 24 months. The environment is fast paced, dynamic and challenging and requires an individual with the ability to work to tight deadlines and react to changing priorities.
Reporting to the Head of HR and Development you will take responsibility for the day to day management of the generalist HR function. Managing an experienced team of four you will provide ongoing advice and guidance to managers and staff on operational and employment issues.
Key aspects of the role will include; assist in the development and delivery of HR strategies; manage any TUPE requirements; actively contribute to the formulation of policies to comply with legislation; attend regular meetings to report on staffing issues, headcount forecasts and vacancy analysis; oversee the recruitment, selection and screening of staff and management; assist in the design and delivery of training initiatives; deputise for the Head of HR in their absence.
CIPD Qualified with experience gained at a senior advisor / management level within a fast paced operational HR Department. A solid understanding of employment law and change management will be evidenced as will personal qualities such as planning and time management, integrity and effective communicative ability.
