The Internal Audit practice forms a part of this leading Top 4 firm of Chartered Accountants specifically dedicated to the Public Sector. The firm has ambitions to remain market leader status achieving clear recognition within the Industry as provider of choice within the Public Sector. The office base for this appointment is Bristol though due to the nature of the work and the diversity of the client base / geographical spread it is anticipated there wil be some UK travel.
Form a part of the specialist Internal Audit function charged with conducting internal audit work and reviews on behalf of a number of clients within the local authority and NHS sectors. Provide clients with professional Internal Audit services in terms of Controls Assurance, Risk Management and Governance. Understand client operations, issues faced and tailor relevant advice. Anticipate complex business problems recommending preventative and pre-emptive action. Make best use of the firms significant investment in computerised audt techniques which aids the delivery of a seamless global accounting and audit service.
Graduate ACA with a track record gained in Audit, ideally with experience servicing NHS and local authorities. With sound technical abilities you must be able to demonstrate and understanding and empathy for the culture and challenges facing clients within these specialist areas. Stron verbal and written communication skills are essential together with the ability to effectively manage teams of professional as individual assignments dictate.
