The company

This firm is already well ahead of the RDR requirements and provides fee based financial planning advice to its loyal and strong client base. With offices on the outskirts of Bristol, they currently have around 15 advisers and a support team at their head office. Successfully trading for well over 10 years, they now are looking for some compliance support to free up the Director.

The role

Working with the MD, you will be covering a small range of compliance and T&C areas within the IFA practice. This role is only for 2 days a week as the firm already has very strong systems and processes in place for their advisers and the sales process. Along with 2 days a week working with the compliance side, the MD is also keen to make this a hybrid role where you can also offer full financial advice to clients for the other 3 days a week. Fee based Financial Planning to your own clients and clients of the firm will make up the rest of your week and increase your earning potential.

Candidate requirements

This role would suit someone who has a small client bank and also retains an interest in the technical aspect of financial planning and advice. You can still advise to your client bank, so going forward you will need the Diploma in Financial Planning, but also your time and income will be supplemented by compliance work in the office, so an attention to detail and knowledge of the compliance side of Financial Services is also required. This role means your time and energy can split between providing advice and also working in a structured office environment within the compliance and T&C areas.
