The company

Very well established financial services firm in the South West with solid grounding and long term aspirations are seeking a polished, Diploma qualified Paraplanner. The company has a number of HNW clients, is directly authorised and offers full financial planning across the whole spectrum of products. They work within various specialist areas of financial planning, (property pension funds, SIPP, SSAS, large investments) and are ahead of the game in terms of RDR. Complex planning for HNW clients and specialist IHT advice also.

The role

As an experienced Paraplanner, your main role will include: • Working with the IFA’s and clients to complete factfinds and other paperwork. • Conducting necessary research and completion of complex financial planning reports / suitability letters for clients. • Supporting Admin team and liaising with product providers to ensure smooth completion of business. • Work with specialist areas within firm if required (ie working with Pension Technical Specialist on pension transfers). • Carry out all work in timely manner in line with company and FSA guidelines, adhering to company principles of excellent service at all times.

Candidate requirements

You should have a minimum of full FPC (or equivalent) and ideally have Diploma in Financial Planning – although only one or two exams away may be considered. Experience in paraplanning in an IFA environment is preferred, with a minimum of 3 or 4 years experience in financial services required. Willingness to learn, develop and be part of a proactive and energetic team also essential to thrive in this firm. Excellent manner and professionalism a must.
