Privately owned and achieving an annual turnover in the region of £7million with a loyal and experienced workforce of 130 employees operating from modern, bespoke 56,000 sq ft of factory space. Recent capital investment programme now complete with introduction of sophisticated equipment. Business model insistent on the highest standards of manufacture using top quality materials, components, teating and finishing.

The role

Assume total day to day control of the company's Production Engineering processes and the development of the same including new product introduction. Specifically further develop a Total Planned Maintenance programme for supporting production. Actively participate in continuous improvement. Provide ongoing technical support to toolroom, maintenance and production depts. Be responsible and accountable through the use of KPI's.

Candidate requirements

Ideally a time served Engineer with a multi-disciplined background gained in the manufacture of medium / large scale products from mild steel sheet. Experience of cutting, forming, welding and galvanizing essential. Accustomed to working within the contraints of and compliance to structured quality systems - specifically ISO9001:2008. Familiar with pressing industry would be highly advantageous. Proven leadership skills involving managing, developing and motivating project / production and toolroom personnel to achieve their company goals and aims within set budgets and leadtimes. First class analytical, technical, design, time management, commercial, communication and problem solving skills.
