Significant subsidiary of a quoted group enjoying considerable commercial success through the effective sale of a range of quality branded FMCG products. Site turnover in excess of £100m. 1,000 + employees. Direct reports include Operations, Supply Chain, Technical, Engineering, H&S, HR and Finance. Key contacts within the operational team and local Board together with external contacts with suppliers and varied customer groups, unions, H&S bodies plus commercial teams. Highly profitable group with resources and strategy to deliver ambitious growth plans for increased profitability and market penetration
Direct, lead and effectively utilise the local management team towards achieving maximum efficiency in the operation of the site, maximising sales and margin growth. Drive the effective and efficient management of the site with full P&L responsibility achieving H&S, quality, service / sales, cost targets, margin and EBIT. Agree annual and quarterly objectives and direct reports Ensure all resources are used efficiently and effectively. Ensure customer visits and audits are successful Create, implement and monitor capital and revenue budgets Ensure administrative systems are effective Monitor, control and reduce all waste. Partner with all areas of the business ensuring all operational and capital spend is justified and accountable. Overall ensure the facility operates efficiently and effectively providing complete customer satisfaction and maximum return on capital employed.
You will be educated to at least degree level or equivalent. A demonstrable track record of success in a food or related FMCG industry sector with proven senior management level record driving operational performance, P&L and continuous improvement. Experience of managing a site of 500+ employees, ideally in a diverse and unionised environment Experience of managing a business of at least £60m+ turnover Proven experience of delivering successful change management and performance involvement programmes Ability to drive cultural change
